This assessment will be conducted by an Occupational Therapist and includes a review of available medical reports and records, physical and functional assessment, implementation of measures which assess cognitive abilities and limitations, perception of pain and disability, and identification of risk factors for psychological concerns/depression development.
It will clearly indicate whether or not a client does or does not meet the guidelines for a minor injury as defined by the SABS.
This assessment is generally completed for clients who have previously received treatment services via our offices and are now in need of additional services. This assessment is completed in office and is specific to a client's area of need. Typically only one or two rehabilitation issues are addressed for the purpose of developing an appropriate rehabilitation plan.
